The older I get, the more I appreciate dance records, which may sound subtle at first listen, but their role in DJ sets is all the more important.

They do the "dirty" work and set the stage for the arrival of tracks that make the roof fly off the club. It's essential that such a record doesn't lose pace, energy, atmosphere and at the same time doesn't push the envelope unnecessarily.

Michael "iNFO" Robinson has composed the EP Look Back on the English label Non Stop Rhythm in exactly this spirit. A simple but precisely constructed storyline, a bass groove like a broken train and all this with a proper acid touch. This can't leave anyone in peace!
